Palette

Use a warm ivory internal backing field, deep cobalt blue for the book and title, sunny golden yellow for page highlights and celebration marks, fresh teal for continents and leaves, and a restrained coral accent for selected bookmarks. Keep all colours as solid flat fills with crisp dark navy linework where needed; no gradients or texture.

Composition

Build a bold rounded badge silhouette with the open book and globe occupying the central illustration zone. Set “WORLD BOOK DAY” in large confident sans-serif lettering across a broad lower title band, with “WORLD” most prominent and “BOOK DAY” clearly subordinate but still legible. Let the book pages overlap the band slightly to bind type and illustration. Place the leafy flourishes and reading-themed shapes around the upper sides as small framing accents. Maintain deliberate open ivory space around the globe’s upper contour and between the peripheral accents so the central book-and-world image reads instantly. Use an open, minimal outer frame or no enclosing ring; extend the ivory backing mass behind every detached accent and narrow page edge without closing any intentionally open perimeter.
