Subject

A late-night tabletop reading scene: an open book lies beneath a bent-neck reading lamp, with a cold cup resting nearby; the book’s pages and the pool of lamp light are conveyed with sparse monoline contours and generous calm space.

  Drawn large in a slightly foreshortened top view, with a clear central gutter, turned page corners, and a few widely spaced ink page lines; it sits directly below the title band.

  A simple articulated desk lamp rises behind and beside the book, its shade angled down toward the pages; use the sole accent colour as a small flat lampshade area while keeping the arm, base, and light indication in consistent ink linework.

  A small plain cup sits low beside the open book, outlined simply with no steam or heat marks, visibly quieter than the book and lamp.

Palette

Use near-black ink for all monoline drawing, title, frame, and restrained page details. Reserve a single muted warm amber accent exclusively for the lampshade; keep all other depicted areas unfilled or minimally flat.

Composition

Set the dominant title, “LAST CHAPTER,” in a strong curved upper band within a thin circular frame. Place the open book as the central lower anchor, with the reading lamp leaning in from one side and its cord wandering outward to meet and visually merge with the circle. Tuck the cold cup into the opposite lower side. Leave deliberate open space around the upper lamp arm and between the title band and the book so the late-night stillness reads clearly; use only sparse contour marks to imply the lamp’s downward glow rather than a filled light cone.
